Pakistan Weekends of Awesomeness

Married!

The last post on this was more than a year ago! In that year, a lot happened! but all that matters is I found a beautiful girl in Pakistan, got engaged and am now married! My Wife  was introduced to me by my parents, who heard about her from my cousins. To limit that year to just  that would be an understatement.

Checking in a week later

Well, I thought I’d be more regular with the checkin’s for my workouts, and so far its been good. I’ve allowed myself to take one day off, but not more. So, today’s day off, will be followed by a run tomorrow morning. I’ll think about doing that with Leo. but so far, 8 hrs in 6 days. I feel i’m on track. I’ll have a bit of motivation with the new watch hopefully, but it’ll have to pull me through a pretty big funk.

training related –
Swim: No Progress
Biking: set out do a 50 mi, quit after 30, but the weather got really bad, and also i was riding on an empty stomache and no energy. It was a good time to reflect though.
Run: Trying to keep it steady at 3 mi. Will try and push to 5 miles by the end of the week. but will use a flat surface for the attempt.

Missing a day or two?

So, the weekend wasn’t as good as I expected, and today wasn’t great either. Sunday only included a 2 mi Run, no biking and nothing today.
The secret is not in never skipping, but to never give up.
So, i’m thinking of doing a 1/2 marathon around. nothing formal, but a goal to shoot for nonetheless.

Training for a Half IronMan

A couple of months ago, I signed up for a Half Iron Man, mainly because I wanted to set a goal, and why not aim for the stars, right? if you miss, at least you’ll land at the moon.

But on a serious note, I’m going to start using this category to log my weekly, or daily achievements, and a good way to stay honest to the goal.

Went for a 3 mi run last week, and plan to do the same today, but after a bike ride. I need to get my stamina up, and I really want to get the Grand fondo achievement. So, i’m thinking about attempting the 100 miler on the east side.
