2010 has been an amazing year, a bit of a rollercoaster ride, but one that was worth all the highs and the lows.

So, if we were to go by that list I scored a 3/3, but I learnt something while finishing each one, and also even by just writing the list. Starting from the first…
Getting a Job – I had a couple of interviews, and in the end I got the job I wanted most, and as far as it goes, its been a fun job, with new things being learnt along the way. Making new friends and being in a completely new environment was also fun, reminds me of the time that I was starting University.
Finishing last Semester at McMaster – what a feeling! leaving the last exam hall [picture] was surreal. I wasn’t sure if it was really going to be my last, since results were yet to come, but I was hopeful that everything went well and I doubted that I would be coming back to write another midterm or exam anytime soon. There were a lot of farewells too, and friendships that may become memories, sweet memories of times had.
Finishing OI6 – maybe one of the most obvious things to do, but probably the biggest roller coaster of the year, some feelings were hurt, some new bonds were made. but the adventure was worth the ride. the car worked well, and the videos are online as proof. [videos] I’ll save the original program somewhere, and use the Arduino to make some fun circuits of my own. some ideas are in incubation, and if things go well, maybe I’ll make them into a smaller independent design. so the whole shield isnt required and cost per device goes down. Probably won’t be anything related to line following, but I’m sure it’ll be fun – whatever it is… maybe some sort of a picture frame? i.e. hand motion switches the picture… who knows, time will tell.
Well, that was it for the list, but here are some other things that happened this year –
Became an Uncle

Moved to Seattle
Started reading a lot more books
Became a car owner
In the end, 2010 was a fun year that went by way too quickly but enjoyed every bit of it. May each year be better than the one before it!
